Possible ‘Supernatural’ Season 5 Episode Titles

Posted by: admin   in Episode, News

We’re all waiting for the Supernatural season 5 premiere on September 10, and while we wait, there’s some tantalizing stuff to whet your appetite.

Though Wikipedia isn’t the most reliable source on the Internet, its Supernatural season 5 page contains episode titles and writers listed for the first six episodes of Supernatural.  Take these with a grain of salt, but this could be what we have to look forward to.

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 1:
Sympathy for the Devil
Written by Eric Kripke

A Rolling Stones song?  Hell yeah, I can already see the awesome rock song “previously on” montage, and it excites me.

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 2:
Good God, Y’All
Written by Sera Gamble

War, what is good for?  Absolutely nothing, but for Supernatural season 5, the war between the Winchesters and Lucifer should be amazing, especially with a Sera Gamble episode.

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 3:
Free to be You and Me
Written by Jeremy Carver

It looks like the first three episodes will be written by the same great writers who wrote the first three episodes of last season, and with another title taken from popular children’s entertainment (like the Sesame Street ode with “The Monster at the End of This Book”) the writers are definitely cooking up something strange.

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 4:
The Douchebag of Oz
Written by Ben Edlund

I’m not sure I fully believe Supernatural would use the word “douchebag” in another episode title, but if they do, I completely believe that Ben Edlund should write it.  If this is true, it looks like we’ll get three serious episodes, followed by a lighter one.

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 5:
To Hell and Back
Written by Cathryn Humprhis

Humphris has written for every season, most recently with season 4’s “Sex and Violence.”  With this title, it sounds like Lucifer’s origins could be explained as early as this episode.

Supernatural
Season 5, Episode 6:
Misery of Heaven
Written by Andrew Dabb and Sera Gamble

Dabb joined the writing staff last season, collaborating on episodes like “After School Special” and “Jump the Shark.”  Following an episode with “Hell” in the title, this one could explore the opposite side, delving into Zachariah and possibly revealing God, who Eric Kripke promised would be a character this season at Comic-Con.
